Meet Mareen
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) 13 years ago. MS is a chronically inflammatory autoimmune disease of the central nervous system. It is different in each individual and is therefore also called the disease with 1000 faces. I am a young woman who "stands" with both legs firmly in her life, even if they don't work so well anymore. My legs no longer "obey" as I would like them to.
Therefore I have been using my QUICKIE Xenon² for many years. It is difficult for me to cope with long distances on foot. With my wheelchair, my helpful companion, I am independent, flexible and fast. It is small, agile and stylishly chic! Folding is really easy, and therefore super functional for my everyday life, which I prefer to spend with my family. As a mother I try to spend as much time as possible with my child and also meet up with my friends to go to the cinema or a concert. With my wheelchair I can help myself... and that is very important to me.
With the new Empulse F55, there is a pull device now that is fully motorised, so I can safely leave the car in the garage! Just dock and drive off. I like that very much, because my mobility radius has increased even further now.
Finally, I hope that us "people with a handicap" will experience more acceptance and tolerance in society, as we are not DIFFERENT but SPECIAL.
